Shows aromas of red cherries, red plums, summer raspberries, herbs. Juicy, refined, balanced and ripe.

Following local tradition, the must macerates long on the skins, and is pressed just before the fermentation begins, to capture the character and the flavors of the land.

Pale yellow, tending towards gold, with hay and almonds on the nose, and rich on the palate, with a firm dry finish.

Sangio is an expression of the soils and microclimate of select vineyards in the high hills above Panzano in Chianti, the coveted Saia vineyards.  Bright cherry notes, fresh and bight, a tremendous expression of Sangiovese.

The vines are certified biodynamic and harvested by hand. Each plot is vinified separately. The fruit is destemmed, crushed and fermented with native yeasts in open-top vats with a maceration of 15-20 days. The separate parcels are then blended and aged in used Slavonian oak botti of 35 hectoliters for 24 months, before being bottled without filtration.

This wine is named (I Sistri) after an ancient instrument from ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. The instrument and its music was dedicated to the worship of Isis, the godess of agriculture and birth. Rich, powerful with exotic fruit.

Laser-focused, meticulously crafted Sangiovese from the largest organic vineyard holder in Tuscany. Crystal clear cherry and raspberry notes. Balanced, medium-bodied, with integrated tannins. Simple, direct, elegant.

Elegant, with typical notes ripe pepper and blackberries, perfectly balanced with the spicy vanilla-flowered notes from the oak. Generous, full-bodied, meaty, and well-structured, culminating in a long, elegant finish. Shows the potential for Cabernet Sauvignon in Tuscany.
